Marriage

Couples wishing to arrange a wedding in the Parish of March are most welcome to get in touch with one of our clergy – either the Rector, the Rev. Canon John Wilker-Blakely, or our Associate Priest, the Rev. Mervyn Dunn – through the parish office at 613-592-4747, or via email to office@parishofmarch.ca

The church office may be able to advise you immediately upon your first call concerning the availability of the church itself, as well as that of clergy on your planned or hoped-for date.  (Please bear in mind that wedding dates at popular times of the year tend to book up early in all churches, so to avoid disappointment, initiate contact with one of our priests as early as you can!)

Our requirements for marriage

  • Either the bride or the groom should be a member of our Parish, demonstrating a commitment to the Anglican Church, or
  • A genuine intention to develop an ongoing relationship with our Parish should be demonstrated.
  • Either the bride or the groom must be a baptized Christian.
  • The couple to be wed will participate in a marriage preparation course. Please see the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa website for course information and dates.
